Adventure awaits as you plunge beneath the crystal-clear waters of Silfra and explore its four unique sections. The first – the Deep Crack – is an intriguingly winding journey the left and right a long, narrow crack in Iceland's underwater landscape.

Note: This incredible tour will take you to depths unseen - but before your descent, make sure that you have dry suit diving certification or 10 logged dry suit experiences in the past two years of tour! Show off both your skills and certifications by providing written proof from a diving instructor.


1. Diving Silfra Fissure Tour

Upon entering Silfra,  a diving instructor of scuba diving tour will provide an insightful briefing that covers all the essentials. Learn about optimal procedures, sign language to communicate underwater and national park rules. You'll also get a rundown of your gear set-up as well as instructions on how to maximize comfort in your drysuit during the excursion! Also our guide will help you with the diving procedures, signs and signals and rules etc.

You are going to experience each section of silfra fissure discovering its narrow winding path known as the Deep Crack. From there, take a peek into what is aptly called The Hall - where you'll find yourself in awe of wonders both small and grand leading up to perhaps one of its greatest features: 'The Silfra Cathedral', situated 22 meters below sea level!

After the cathedral awe-inspiring experience of diving through the cathedral, take a left into Silfra Lagoon for one final burst of beauty. Upon emerging from your journey beneath Iceland's waters, remove your fins with support from your guide and embark upon an invigorating 300 meter trek across land to the silfra car park.

After an exciting dive, we will walk back to the the silfra car park where you can warm up with some delicious hot chocolate and cookies while discussing the highlights of your adventure.

On our tour, you will get the chance to engage with your guide and ask all of the questions that come up during your journey. Plus, you can take a take a look  photos taken along the tour.

2. Meet on Location

Be prepared to embark on an adventure! To start your journey, the meeting point is at the Silfra car park in Thingvellir National Park 15 minutes before your tour begins. The parking lot can be found by following directions to "Thingvellir P5". Then make a short stroll of 400m until you find all the snorkel and dive vans where you will meet with your guide. Don't forget - they'll need time for equipment fitting and safety instructions, so get there early!

Requirements to Experience Silfra Tour

Dry suit diving experience in the form of either Drysuit certification or a minimum of ten logged dry suit dives. You need to have dived in a dry suit within the last 2 years. Your dive guide will ask you to see proof of your certification or logbook before the tour starts.

For a safe and successful dive, all adventurers must provide their height/weight prior to booking in order to get the best-suited gear. Plus, they should be able to understand English instructions from the guide so that everyone can remain secure while exploring beneath the waves!

Ready to explore the depths of the ocean? In order to join this incredible tour, you'll need an Open Water diver certification or higher. Before heading out on your underwater adventure, check with your doctor and get a health certificate if necessary - safety always comes first!


Can I drink alcohol during silfra diving adventure?

Before & during the dive in Silfra is strictly prohibited. You can enjoy drinks after the tour.

Will there be a diving instructor for each location?

Yes, there will be a diving instructor for each tour except self drive tour in Iceland.

Can the route of the tour change?
