Golden Circle Day Tours was born from a simple belief: the best way to experience Iceland is through the eyes of someone who calls it home. Founded in 2012 by a small team of Reykjavik locals with a deep love for Iceland's landscapes and stories, our company has grown from a single guide with a van to a team of passionate local experts.

We started with the Golden Circle because it's the route that best captures the essence of Iceland — the raw geological power, the rich Viking history, and the breathtaking natural beauty that makes this island unlike anywhere else on Earth. Every day, we get to share these wonders with travelers from around the world, and it never gets old.

What sets us apart is our commitment to small groups and authentic experiences. We don't believe in rushing through the Golden Circle on a packed bus. Instead, we keep our groups small (maximum 19 people), take the scenic routes, and share the stories and secrets that only locals know. Our guides are geologists, historians, and storytellers — and they're all Icelandic.
