Our Port Cancellation Guarantee

We understand that cruise itineraries can change. Weather, mechanical issues, or other factors may cause your ship to skip Reykjavik entirely. That is why we offer a full refund port cancellation guarantee for all shore excursion bookings.

Standard Cancellation Policy

For all shore excursion bookings:

• Free cancellation up to 24 hours before scheduled pickup
• 50% refund for cancellations within 24 hours of pickup
• No refund for no-shows

Port Cancellation (Ship Does Not Dock)

If your cruise line cancels or skips the Reykjavik port call:

• 100% refund — no questions asked
• Simply email us with your booking reference and ship name
• Refund processed within 3-5 business days

Ship Delay Policy

If your ship arrives late but still docks in Reykjavik:

• We adjust the pickup time to match your ship's arrival
• If the delay is significant, we modify the itinerary to ensure you see the highlights
• If the delay makes the tour impossible (less than 4 hours in port), you receive a full refund

Weather Cancellations

In the rare event that weather conditions make the Golden Circle route unsafe:

• We offer an alternative itinerary (Reykjanes Peninsula or city tour)
• If no alternative is possible, you receive a full refund
• Safety is always our top priority

How to Cancel

To cancel your shore excursion, email us at info@goldencircledaytours.is with your booking reference number. We will confirm your cancellation and process any applicable refund within 3-5 business days.
