Stop 1: Þingvellir National Park

Your first stop is where the North American and Eurasian tectonic plates pull apart — you can literally walk between continents. Þingvellir is also where Iceland's Viking parliament (Alþingi) was founded in 930 AD, making it one of the oldest parliamentary sites in the world. The rift valley, the clear Silfra-fed streams, and the dramatic cliffs make this one of the most photographed places in Iceland.

Stop 2: Geysir Geothermal Area

The geothermal field at Haukadalur is where the word "geyser" comes from. Gullfoss ("Golden Falls") is one of Europe's most powerful waterfalls. The Hvítá river drops in two stages into a 32-metre-deep canyon, creating a wall of mist and spray. In winter, the canyon walls are coated in ice. In summer, rainbows are common. A viewing platform lets you get close enough to feel the spray.

Stop 4: Secret Lagoon, Flúðir

The highlight that makes this tour special. The Secret Lagoon (Gamla Laugin) in the village of Flúðir is Iceland's oldest swimming pool, built in 1891.
