Travel along the coast of the Snaefellsnes peninsula to see seals and a variety of marine birds while admiring the beautiful natural beauty and breathtaking splendor of Snfellsjökull volcano.
We drive to Borgarfjörur and the village of Borgarnes from Reykjavik in the west of Iceland to begin our lovely journey. At Ytri-Tunga Farm, just after entering the Snaefellsnes peninsula, you'll have a chance to see local wildlife along the coastline.
Then it's off to the picturesque Arnarstapi village for lunch.
After lunch, the tour heads to Djpalónssandur, a peaceful, black-pebbled beach in the Snfellsjökull National Park with stunning views of the sea and deep history.
From there, you'll journey north along the peninsula's north shore to the fishing community of Grundarfjordur. The symmetrical peak Kirkjufell, one of the peninsula's most recognizable and photographed features, is found here.
From Grundarfjörur, we'll travel through the Berserkjahraun lava plains on our way back to Reykjavik.
